Opening Nights

Each of this episode’s performances bring the magical energy that we feel at each season’s Festival Opening Night. Selections include pieces by Sibelius, Rautavaara, a World Premiere by Binna Kim, and a New York Premiere by Miguel del Águila .
Jazz with John Patitucci
Online Encores— Episode 2
Featuring selections from the Festival’s inaugural jazz performance from 2011 with legendary double bassist John Patitucci.
Best of Bach
Online Encores— Episode 3
The episode features the Barkada Quartet as well as pianists Robert Fleitz, Andrea Lam, and Melinda Lee Masur amongst our Festival artists who play some of our favorite Bach performances of Festivals past. The episode ends with a special conversation with composer Eric Nathan and Amanda Hardy to talk about Nathan’s arrangement Dancing with J.S. Bach, which rounds out the episode celebrating this inspiring composer.

Enjoy a look back at some of our favorite culinary moments! This episode features music by Christine Delphine Hedden, Michael Gandolfi, and Vivaldi— alongside a celebration of our 2019 partnership with Outstanding in the Field, a memorable concert at Chelsea Market, and an interview with our 2019 Culinary Artists-in-Residence Sawako Okochi and Aaron Israel of Shalom Japan.

We end this first series of Online Encores with a tribute to Beethoven! The episode includes a World Premiere by composer Augusta Read Thomas, performances by Nicholas DiEugenio, Mimi Solomon, the Verona Quartet, and original arrangements inspired by Beethoven by Adam Birnbaum and Helen Sung.
