Chelsea Music Festival Records is pleased to announce an upcoming album release—

CARDUME

A new album by Rogério Boccato, Keita Ogawa and Cleber Almeida, which features improvised and collectively composed percussion music.

The full album will be released on June 20th in coordination with the 2025 Chelsea Music Festival.

CARDUME features a dynamic percussion trio in fluid musical conversation and motion. Here the music is created fully in the moment, and each musician is making every decision based on what their ears are telling them. Their name CARDUME is the Portuguese word for a school of fish, whose movements are similarly leaderless and based on an endless series of reactions to reactions.

CARDUME prioritizes the collective over the individual, valuing collaboration and the conversational nature of group playing. We created music in the moment, shaped by the unique “conversation” we are having on stage.
