Objectives: by the end of the Festival, interns should be able to

  • Present Festival programming and artists’ information in a professional manner to potential patrons and social media outlets

  • Create a cohesive promotional activities that increase the visibility of the Festival to the wider community

  • Identify social media personalities / blogs / influencers relevant to CMF programming for promotional purposes

Duties: prior to and during the course of the Festival, interns will

  • Create content for CMF social media sites for the promotion

  • Draft captions for social media posts

  • Collaborate with Merchandise interns on designing display of Festival merchandise during performances

  • Assist in staffing the merchandise table at events

  • Work with Photography intern to capture images for promotional use

  • Organize data for Festival mailing list

  • Ensure adequate signage and promotional materials at every event venue

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: the ideal intern candidate possesses:

  • Knowledge of graphic design applications (such as Adobe Creative Suite) preferred

  • Strong research, writing, and oral communication skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic, team-based environment

Desired majors: Art - Graphic Design; Arts Administration;  Business - Marketing
