Children (and families!) of all ages are welcome to join the “Superhero Brain” Family Event + Lunch on Saturday June 29th, where neuroscience scholar Dr. Jessica Phillips-Silver will lead families in exploring the superpowers of the human brain!

In this all-ages activity, families are invited to explore their musical brains! Music neuroscientist and artistic creator, Dr. Jessica, will lead children to sing and move along to songs from her children's musical Finding Rhythm: A journey through the musical brain. Dr. Jessica is joined by clarinetist Yasmina Speigelberg for interactive musical fun. Children are welcome to participate in the ways that are comfortable for them, which may include moving to the rhythms or simply coloring in their own Finding Rhythm Musical Brain coloring sheet! Families will receive a colorful take-home guide as a reminder of ways to bring rhythm into the home, in addition to coloring sheets and small instruments.

Attendees are invited to build a delicious, brain-healthy bowl with Chef Eric Takahashi and engage in hands-on craft activities. This event is all about brain growth, health, and healing– Super!

Adults must be accompanied by a child.
